This jug, in the characteristic shape of the median Corinthian period, with trefoil mouth and flat bottom, is decorated by two rich figured friezes with animals and humans, alternating on the background with filling rosettes.
In the middle of the largest frieze across the body of the vase there is a female figure between two lions with their jaws open, possibly linked with the potnia theròn, an Asiatic goddess later identified with the Persian Artemis, depicted between ferocious animals to symbolize human domination over wild nature.
