Archaeological Museum of Bologna

In the collection of Byzantine and barbarian coins, in which there are numerous gold and silver pieces, are preserved about 1500 coins in good condition issued in a wide chronological period, that goes from the 5th to the 14th century AD.
The coin treasure from the Rhine is particularly important: includes 7 solid gold of the Eastern Empire and Benevento and 14 Abbasid dinar gold dating from the mid-8th to the early 9th century AD.
