The exhibition,

through a journey through time,

The exhibition, through a time travel, tells the big fascination of statuary of the Archaic period (Egyptian, Etruscan, Nuragic African) reinterpreted by the sculptures of the master Alberto Giacometti. To realize this parallel MAN will host the works of the archaic period, including ones from Archaeological Museum of Bologna:

- Sculptural group of Mainekhet and family; painted limestone, New Kingdom: the first half of the eighteenth dynasty (normally exhibited in the Egyptian Collection)

- Sculptural group of Meri and Suiro; basalt, New Kingdom: the Eighteenth Dynasty (normally exhibited in the Egyptian Collection)

- Female Ushabti; painted limestone, New Kingdom: end of XVIII - early XIX dynasty (normally exposed Egyptian collection)

- Statuette of kneeling mourner; wood, Late Period (normally exhibited in the Egyptian Collection)

- Lower part of templar statue on behalf of Nekao; basalt, Late Period: end XXVI - beginning XXVII dynasty (normally exhibited in the Egyptian Collection)

- Small votive bronze depicting the goddess Neith gradient; bronze, Late Period: Dynasty XXVI-XXX (normally exhibited in the Egyptian Collection)

- Small votive bronze depicting Neferhotep gradient; bronze, Late Period: Dynasty XXVI-XXX (normally exhibited in the Egyptian Collection)

- Small votive bronze depicting Horus Harpocrates gradient; bronze, Late Period: XXVI - Ptolemaic Period (normally exhibited in the Egyptian Collection)

- Small votive bronze depicting the Apis bull; bronze, Late Period: XXVI - Ptolemaic Period (normally exhibited in the Egyptian Collection)

- Small bronze depicting a warrior with a crested helmet; bronze, end eighth-beginning seventh century BC (normally exhibited in Etruscan-Italic Collection)

- Small bronze with female bidder figure; bronze, end VII-beginning V century BC (normally exhibited in Etruscan-Italic Collection)

- Couple of bites of horse with uprights shaped of little horse; bronze, towards the middle of the eighth century BC (normally exhibited in Bologna Etruscan Section)

- Devotee with hands at his sides (kouros); bronze, first half of the sixth century BC (normally exposed in Etruscan-Italic Collection)
