SETTORE MUSEI CIVICI BOLOGNA | AREA STORIA E MEMORIA (History and Memory A.U.)

This office is based in the Museo del Risorgimento in Casa Carducci, while its Library and Archives are located in Palazzo Galvani. Since 2009 it has also been responsible for the cultural valorization of the Cimitero Monumental della Certosa, founded in 1801 in the former Carthusian monastery. The History and Memory Unit coordinates actions associated with the history and memory of the city and local area, promoting collaborations and synergies with other museums, cultural institutes and other organizations working in the same field. It works to safeguard and valorize this heritage, ensuring that it is properly conserved while also made available to the general public. Head: Otello Sangiorgi
