Museum / Museum spaces for events / Available spaces / Events Area

The main floor of the Museum has an events area with a number of halls and service spaces.

The main area is the Events Hall, dedicated to the Museum’s cultural events, mostly consisting of concerts, but is perfectly suited for conferences, conventions, book presentations, shows and cultural events in general. It has seating capacity of 100, a semicircular stage, a Bechstein ¾ grand piano, audio-visual and lighting system, fold-away screen and video projector.

Adjacent to the Events Hall is the Foyer, with a beautiful wooden ceiling and dominated by an ample fireplace. The shelves around the Foyer carry eight plaster busts of various illustrious characters from the world of music, amongst whom Rossini, Donizetti, Padre Martini and Gluck, and in a display cabinet in the corner the Bologna Stratocaster electric guitar, made in 2004 by the Californian guitar maker and donated to the Museum, decorated with a view of Bologna taken from the Pietà dei Mendicanti painted by Guido Reni in 1616 and the symbol of the city of Bologna on the fretboard.

The Foyer has seating for 30 people, an audio system and 6 video stations that can also transmit the events taking place in the Hall.

The events area also has a private service space that can be used in a variety of ways.
