Terminal part of the andiron

We preserve only the terminal part of the andiron, which reproduces a pair of stylized horse heads, connected on the top by a small yoke, from which it seems stick out the end of a chariot shaft.

The brick which was the base is completely lost. That type of andiron, found in the area of the village in Bologna and around the city during the Villanovan period, is the only piece of furniture we know from huts.
