The use of these magnificent cloak pins with a large glass pearl that constitutes their head, which are distinctive of the Bolognese Villanovan phase, is attested for the period between the late 8th century and the early 6th century B.C.
The splendid pearl is part of a typology with concentric eyes surrounded by small dots, which is common in Northern Italy and the Illyric region but attested by archaeological evidence even in Central Europe e manufactured between the 8th and 6th century B.C.
