Ushabti of Horkhebi

The statuette, in perfect condition, was created for the grave goods of the "royal scribe Horkhebi, son of Khaemkhonsu, generated by Neferneit".

More info

These information are transmitted to us, together with the Chapter VI of the Book of the Dead, by the five columns of text in accurate hieroglyphics writing engraved on both sides of the body, rather wide and flattened. The face is framed by a voluminous tripartite wig: refined lineaments, large ears and a long beard curled upwards.

This ushabti is a beautiful example of the early stages of the period known as the Saite Renaissance.
