Information / Map of the Museum

The museum visit takes place on three floors.

The entrance on the ground floor in via dell'Archiginnasio, right in the city centre, offers access to the atrium and internal courtyard, housing the Lapidarium. The bookshop and cloakroom are located next door to the atrium.

From the courtyard, the visitor gains access to the temporary exhibitions room on the ground floor and the so-called “sala del Risorgimento”, used for conferences and meetings organised by the museum.

The monumental stairway leading to the first floor of the museum is also to be found in the courtyard; the first floor houses rooms I to XII.

The museum’s Egyptian Collection is housed in the basement floor, which is reached from the atrium.
