Museum of Cycladic Art - Athens

The Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens hosting an exhibition entitled HYGIEIA. Health, Illness, Treatment from Homer to Galen.

Like the ancients greeks were taking care of their body? How did they tackle the problems of health and hygiene? We'll find out through the exhibition of about 300 artifacts, coming from 41 greek and european museums, which will offer an overview of the evolution of ancient healing practices.

On loan from the Archaeological Museum of Bologna and normally exposed in Etruscan-Italic Collection:

- Mirror in relief representing Machaon and Philoctetes

Bronze, half of the fifth century a.C., University Collection (formerly Marsili Collection)
